Who you are contracting with
The Lily Perspective is operated by Lillian Caryl Niehaus, an individual, trading as “The Lily Perspective” (“we”, “us”). By using this website or buying Premium you enter into an agreement with Lillian Caryl Niehaus. By continuing to use the service you agree to these terms.
What the service is
The Lily Perspective is an educational platform about overlapping chronic conditions. Free features include all articles and interactive tools. Premium is a subscription that adds AI-written appointment documents, all appointment scripts and in-depth answers from the site’s question assistant.
Education, not medical advice
Everything on this site, including AI-generated content, is for general education only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and does not create a clinician–patient relationship. Always talk to a qualified clinician about your care. In an emergency, contact emergency services.
AI-generated content
Some features use artificial intelligence. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate; you are responsible for checking them and for how you use them. You are responsible for what you type in and must have the right to share it. You must not use the AI features to create illegal, hateful, harassing or deceptive content, to impersonate others, to produce malware, or to try to bypass safety controls. We may filter, refuse or remove outputs, and restrict or suspend accounts that misuse these features. Rights-holders can report content concerns through our social channels; repeated infringement leads to termination.
Your account
You must be of legal age to enter a contract where you live, give accurate information, and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
You must not use the service unlawfully or fraudulently; send spam; infringe intellectual property; introduce malware; probe, scrape or interfere with the service’s security; reverse engineer it; resell or redistribute it; or circumvent technical limits, including Premium locks.
Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the service, its writing, diagrams, software, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan. Documents generated for you are yours to use personally, including sharing with your clinicians.
Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, renewal, tax, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Premium renews automatically each month or year until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.
Service level
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free or up to date. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is”, without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost profits, data or goodwill), and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When your account ends, your saved content is deleted within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and disputes go to its courts, unless your local consumer law says otherwise. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization or sale. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may update these terms and will note the date above.
